If you need to cancel an appointment
Please telephone Dr Chiu's office during business hours and allow at least 1 days' notice so that we can offer your appointment time to patients on our waiting list.
We recognise that your time is valuable, and we make every effort to run on time. Occasionally emergencies or patients require a little more time, and these cause scheduling delays beyond our control. Dr Chiu supervises surgeons in training and patient care at the public hospital, and consequently she will sometimes need to take phone calls for emergencies during the day. We apologise if we keep you waiting.
Fees
The standard fees charged by our rooms are in line with the Australian Medical Association recommended fee schedule. This means that in most instances there will be a 'gap' between our surgical fee and what is covered by Medicare and your health insurance fund.
If you have any questions it is important that you ask about this gap. Our staff are fully informed with charges and rebates and will be able to help you navigate through what can be a complex process. These fee explanations can cover:
- Consulting Fee
- Surgical Fee
- Treatment Estimates
If you require more information, please do not hesitate to call the practice during office hours.
